“Finora New York ha accumulato circa il 50% dei casi positivi per COVID-19 negli Stati Uniti, un paese di 327 milioni e una città di 8 milioni. Il Governatore Cuomo è stato resiliente nei suoi sforzi per contenere il virus – ma è stato difficile contrastare il numero crescente di infetti. Prevediamo di raddoppiare esponenzialmente questi casi nei prossimi giorni. La “città che non dorme mai” è diventata abbastanza languida nelle ultime settimane, con ordini di limitare i viaggi non essenziali fuori casa, che vengono presi più seriamente quando i numeri crescono. Nessuno presume di sapere cosa accadrà dopo, ma speriamo tutti per il meglio e ci prepariamo per il peggio. “
“New York City has so far amassed around 50% of cases positive for COVID-19 in the United States, a country of 327 million and a city of 8 million. Governor Cuomo has been resilient in his efforts to contain the virus – but it has been difficult to make a dent in the growing number of infected. We expect to have our numbers double exponentially over the next few days. The “city that never sleeps” has become quite languid over the past few weeks, with orders to limit non-essential trips outside of the home being taken more seriously as the numbers grow. No one presumes to know what will happen next, but we are all hoping for the best- and preparing for the worst.”
